After settling back in from our Branson vacation I decided to give #Arzette another go.

I thoroughly searched all of the stages for a shovel or any other item to trade and had no luck.

I decided that the next tradable item would have to be in the final stage. I started the final stage and before I knew it made it to the boss and beat the game. LOL

I didn't intend on doing that, but, um, cool!

I suppose now I'll take a peek at a walk-through and see what I missed.

One memory I would have liked to have kept suppressed is just how bad driver issues used to be in #Windows. 😆

Driver discovery and installation is one area where Windows really improved over the years.

I remember being impressed with just how good it was upgrading from XP to 7, but Win 10 was near perfection in my use case.

I bring this up because I was trying to revive an old #Asus #EeePC this week and it was a challenge.

The #Atari cx78+ wireless gamepad is compatible with the #Commodore64 Ultimate.

I had heard that this was the case but had yet to see video or pictures of anyone actually using it.

I can confirm that it works flawlessly. Now if only there was a way to make the second button register as up on the controller... One can dream...

Omega Race is one of my favorite #C64 games.

I used to chase high scores on this game several times a week before all of my c64s eventually quit working.

Honestly, this is one of the handful of high score games that I would consistently play. I absolutely love this game.

I'm getting ready to boot this up on the c64 ultimate for the first time in 15+ years. Hopefully it still works.

Any other Omega Race fans out there?

Time for some refurbishing.

These haven't been used in probably 15 years.

The TAC-2 and its little brother, the Slik Stik are fan favorites but honestly, the Mindscape Power Player was always my go to.

It is a clicky switch based joystick and I always found it ergonomically better for me to have the fire button and the joystick directly on top of one another.

I'm not sure who needs to know this, but I am at Jason's Deli and they have plenty of their 3 Seed and Sea Salt crackers.

These things are amazing and the last several times I have been they have not had any.

I have had the #DungeonCrawler 'The Quest' on my steam wish list for years. I don't know why, I've just never got around to purchasing it.

I didn't realize that this game started life on the #PocketPC. It is now running on my #WindowsCE #SmartBook at a glorious one frame a second.

While this game looks wonderful, this device is woeful. 😂
